BB Gun Wound, Confidential Settlement
Gorham and Associates represented a 10-year old west Jefferson County young man who was shot in the head with a BB gun. The victim suffered a significant injury. The BB traveled across the frontal lobe and lodged at the interior of the skull.
The incident occurred during unsupervised play in a treehouse. Two classmates of the victim shot him. The settlement proceeds were combined from the homeowner policies of the two classmates-- one who had the treehouse and the other who provided the BB gun. The settlement was structured for the benefit of the young victim.
